North Coast Academy of Sport Name Golf Athlete of the Year
Kyle Underwood has certainly found his feet in the game of golf over the past two years. The Ballina junior has just been named as the North Coast Academy of Sport Golf Athlete of the Year for the second consecutive year.
For his efforts Kyle will receive a scholarship from Titleist/Footjoy giving him access to certain products to further enhance his game over the next 12 months.
The development in Kyle’s game has been phenomenal and he now sits on a handicap of scratch. During his year in the NCAS Golf Program Kyle has made some great improvements. He is currently leading the NRDGA Junior Order of Merit, he was the Boys 14 and 15 Years Champion at the Northern Rivers Junior Masters and in June was named in the JNJG Boys Development Squad.
NCAS Executive Director John Kincade described Kyle as “very talented and improving all the time. He is strong and works hard on his fitness. A stand out in all drills we did and his attitude is very good, confident, yet willing to learn more.”
Kyle is an excellent example of a passionate junior who is willing to put in the hard work and dedication required to take his golf game to the next level. The future looks very bright for this talented youngster.
Congratulations on your achievement Kyle and we look forward to following your progress over the next few years.
