Juniors at Nelson Bay Golf Club
Club professionals Maurie and Warren Moses have continued to develop junior golfers within the club over the years. This program has evolved recently as Warren engaged JNJG Territory Manager Mark Ingrey to assist development and partnerships within local schools during full day introductory sessions.
Since the program has introduced many new school students to the game in Nelson Bay, Warren’s junior program has continued to thrive with a healthy balance of young male and female juniors trying the game.
Local Nelson Bay “social club” Dirty Dozen has become involved in the juniors and now offer a regular sponsorship program for a male and female junior.
The Brian and Warren Diemar Scholarship provides each winner with:
Two years membership at Nelson Bay Golf Club
$100 to spend in the Nelson Bay Golf Shop
5 x Golf Lessons
2 x Games of golf at The Palms
2 x Games of golf at David Graham Complex
The Scholarship will be awarded each term and will ensure the club has a growing list of juniors who will be encouraged to continue their development in the game.
“This is an amazing initiative for the club and it compliments our family orientated junior program and club atmosphere,” Warren said.
“Warren’s enthusiasm for developing junior golfers is evident in his weekly program, the attending juniors and those who have experienced his sessions at local schools means Nelson Bay will build on their vision of a family venue” said Mark.
