Team Championship - Dungog
Jack Newton Junior Golf Juniors on the Move held their Teams Championship last weekend at the beautiful Dungog Golf Club.
Arriving early the juniors were taken through a small clinic to cover some basic short game rules and skills for their day ahead on the course. The juniors practiced their putting speed, ready greens and trying to match the two for improved performance.
Our young juniors tested their skills in the 2-person Ambrose event held annually which is a much anticipated event.
Players draw their partners out of a hat and hit the course for a challenge that see’s the winning teams head home with some great trophies and prizes.
Once again Dungog Golf Club put on an excellent day with the club opening their doors to our juniors and families with welcoming smiles and a great BBQ for lunch. Dungog is a volunteer based club, which provides some of the best conditions and greens in the region.
The winners on the day for the first time were a 3-person team.
