Maddinson Wins Jamberoo by Three
The Jamberoo Junior Open was played on Thursday 28th September on a perfect day for golf. Many of the juniors took full advantage of the conditions but did not find the course easy.
Cooper Maddinson shot an impressive 76 to lead the way by three shots over Jayden Granger who had a great day out shooting 79 off a handicap of 14. Only one shot behind him was Harrison Kiteley who shot a great round of 80 which was good enough for him to win the Nett on the day by two shots over Jayden.
In the Stableford competition Kirra Greer continued some fantastic play to shoot an amazing 43 points and win by a massive 13 points over Riley Bowman with 30 and Shaun McParland with 29. I can only imagine what a score like that would have done to Kirra’s handicap, which would have put a big smile on her face I am sure.
A big thank you to the Jamberoo Golf Club for going ahead with this event despite a small field. A big thank you goes to David Ransom for all of his hard work in organizing the day and the club staff and green keepers for all of their hard work behind the scenes.
