TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONS
Josh Hunter and Chloe Thornton with DGA President Tony Brown
In July the ACT hosted a Junior Week of Golf. The four-day tournament was only held because of the wonderful co-operation of the local clubs and the wonderful assistance given to run each day.

Day 3 Yass
On Wednesday players were up early for the bus trip to Yass we departed from Capital at 7.30am with second pick up at Gungahlin Lakes and then ready to play at Yass by 9.30am. The weather was fine and sunny and juniors were looking forward to a good golfing day. Sub Juniors Tom Hogbin-Bourne, Matilda Sullings, Savanah and Chanel Roso all enjoyed their visit to Yass and the opportunity to join with some players from Yass for nine holes.
Players were treated to a great BBQ stop after 8 holes and then after play they could challenge themselves to a chipping competition then have a go at driving straight or long. The girls who played first had a little extra practice with the chipping and sometimes practice does not always help.
