Mollymook Junior Classic

The players were greeted by a spectacular day on Friday when they arrived at the Hilltop course at the Mollymook Golf Club. The course was in excellent condition and the players showed their liking for the course with some great scoring.

The 9 hole players got the day underway with some of the juniors only just bigger than the bag that they were pushing. In the end it was Joel Brown from Moruya who won the scratch with a great score of 52. Mollymook’s own Blake Halls was the winner of the nett in his first junior classic and will be one to watch in the future, he had 42.

The competition was fierce in the girls division with three girls entered on single figure handicaps. It was Stefanie Hall from St Michaels Golf Club who won the day with a great score of 78. Amber Thornton from the NSW Golf Club took out the nett honors with a score of 77.

The boys division was also hotly contested with four players off scratch or better. The nett winner, from Mollymook, was Dillon Granger with a fantastic score of 66, showing that his practice is working. Tom Punnett also from Mollymook was victorious after making a great birdie on the final hole for a 74, to win by one stroke.
