Belmont Girls Shine at US College
(2:00pm - Tuesday 25th May 2021)
They were JNJG regulars for a number of years and now Belmont sisters Makensie and Kiana Toole are making their mark at College after fantastic freshman seasons in the US.
20 Year old Makensie attends George Fox University, representing "The Bruins" who are based out of Newberg, Oregon. Makensie played four events with The Bruins in her freshman year, winning two of them, as she helped her team win the conferernce championship and qualify for the finals.
The Belmont junior went on to dominate the field in the finals, winning the NCAA III Womens Golf Championships by 14 shots, with the Bruins finishing the tournament in third place. Toole's individual victory created history for the College, becoming the first player to win the Individual NCAA title.
Younger sister Kiana (18) attends West Virginia Wesleyan College, playing three time for the Bobcats in her freshman season. Toole finished third and second in her opening two events, before winning the conference championships by ten strokes.
Her results saw her named Mountain East Player of the Year and MEC Freshman of the year, becoming the first women golfer in Wesleyan history to win both of these awards.
Well done girls! Everyone at JNJG is looking forward to following your College career for the years to come!
