2024 JNJG Under 12 Tour Schedule Revealed
(2:00pm - Monday 27th November 2023)
The JNJG Under 12 Tour, launched in 2023, was designed to fill the gap in the Player Pathway between Juniors on the Move (9 Hole – No Handicaps) and the JNJG Tour (36 Hole Events for golfers aged 10-17 Years).
JNJG hoped to create a series of events to encourage juniors to join a golf club and get an official handicap. This was also developed to make junior golfers feel comfortable in making the move out of Juniors on the Move and start playing competition golf at their home club and in 18 Hole Junior Tournaments.
As 2023 was the first year of the JNJG Under 12 Tour, there were a number of different aspects that JNJG were trialling to find out what would work best for future years. Some of those trials are going to be put in place for the upcoming 2024 JNJG Under 12 Tour Season.
In 2024, we will be changing the format (only slightly) of the JNJG Under 12 Tour to help players with the transition onto the JNJG Tour.

The JNJG Under 12 Tour will be for all players aged 11 Years and Under.

The JNJG Tour will be for all players aged 12-17 years.
However, there can and will be exceptions to both of these rules!!

There will be some juniors who have recently turned 12 years of age but are still new to the game, may have only just got an official 18 Hole Handicap, and would still benefit from playing a 1-day event on the Under 12 Tour with Mum & Dad assisting them around the course as a bag pusher. As a guideline, this will be for players 12 Years of Age on handicaps of 27 or above.

There will also be some juniors who are 10 or 11 years of age, who have been playing golf for quite a long time and already play Club Competitions and 18 Hole Junior Tournaments, who would be more than comfortable playing in a JNJG Tour Event in the 12-13 Years Division. As a guideline, this will be for players 11 Years of Age on handicaps of 12 or below.
If this is the case, juniors will be able to contact JNJG Tournament Staff and apply for an exemption. You can apply for an exemption by clicking here and emailing JNJG General Manager, Dale Hughes.
Once a player aged 11 Years & Under applies and is granted an exemption to play on the JNJG Tour, they will no longer be eligible to play in any JNJG Under 12 Tour Events.
The 2024 JNJG Under 12 Tour will be made up of 12 Events, broken down into two different categories.

July 16 - 18 – JNJG Under 12 Tour State Age Championships (Lynwood CC)
Sunday August 4 – JNJG Under 12 Tour Sydney (Kareela GC)
Sunday September 8 – JNJG Under 12 Tour Canberra (Fairbairn GC)
October 1 - 3 – JNJG Under 12 Tour Jack Newton International (Rydges Resort Hunter Valley)
