Como West Public School Come and Try Golf Day
Students and Teachers at Como West Public School enjoyed their first taste of golf on Wednesday 21st August when JNJG Territory Manager Tanya Kirby conducted a “come and try” day at the school. Three classes of students in years five and six took part in a 45-minute golf session where they got to have a go at chipping and pitching. The teachers also gave it a go and were even brave enough to be human targets for the students to hit their shots at.
The day was a great success with students and teachers thoroughly enjoying their golfing experience. The school is looking to run and five week MyGolf program as part of their school sports. They hope to cap off this program with a final day down at the Kareela Golf Club to let the students experience play on a “real golf course.”
