Developing Future Golf Stars

The 2013 JNJG/Golf NSW Girls Junior Development Squad had their first training camp over the weekend at Riverside Oaks Golf Resort.

Twelve of the best up and coming junior girls in NSW took part in the two-day camp with State Women’s Coach Dennise Hutton and Golf NSW selectors Kim Burke and Vicki Stride.

The following girls make up this years squad:

Amy Chu

Doey Choi

Antonia Gonzalez

Isabella Chan

Pamela Tsiamis

Stefanie Hall

Amelia Mehmet-Grohn

Kirsten Convoy

Chloe Thornton

Olivia Molino

Keona Lee

Belinda Ji

The weather was fantastic and the girls enjoyed two days of coaching and development in putting, chipping, pitching, long game, pre shot routine, golf psychology, physical conditioning, and on course play.

The purpose of this squad is to give young girls the opportunities and tools to take their golf game to the next level.  Under the guidance of Dennise these talented girls will receive the support and coaching needed to help them to not only become the best golfers they can be but to also happy, well rounded individuals.

Over the coming months the girls will participate in a number of training days across Sydney and all will be hoping to secure a spot in the Girls State Team that will take part in the Interstate Series in Victoria next year.  (The Girls State Team will be selected from all NSW junior girls not only those in the development squad)

The girls in the development squad come from various clubs across NSW and special thanks must go to their parents and supporters who enable them to participate in the program.  We know they work hard on their game and we hope this opportunity will help them to move to the next level.
