International and Interstate Competitions

JNJG offers many Interstate and International tournament opportunities during the year.

As well as the opportunities from JNJG, Golf Australia run a national junior ranking system.

INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT OPPORTUNITIES

All International and Interstate opportunities are subject to selection criteria and all players selected to represent JNJG must fulfill that criteria. Winners of events do not automatically qualify for international or interstate events.

As part of our Player Development Program JNJG sends selected players to interstate and international competitions.  The empahsis behind these trips is to develop the selected players by giving them experiences in conditions they may not have found before.  Different courses, weather, grasses, culture as well as exposing them where possible to the best players nationally and internationally. It also provides valuable experience in learning how to travel and compete.  Selection is based on maximising the development opportunities for our up and coming talent.

For the most part a coach or manager is sent with the team for international events.  For interstate events players are provided with travel/accommodation subsidies to assist with these expenses.  The JNJG Player Development Manager is primarily responsible for selection of players to these competitions to benchmark their game.
