Golf at Picton Public Lifts Off

Building on the success from its representative teams making huge inroads in the NSW Junior Pennant (Under 18’s) and NSW Eric Apperly Shield (Under 23’s), Antill Park GC has begun working to build its grass roots program to a similar high standard.

The club has formed a relationship with Picton Public School, and over two weeks, in conjunction with JNJG, ran golf clinics for all students in Stage 2 and 3. All these students had the opportunity to drive, swing, pitch, and chip on the school oval, getting lessons and instructions off Professionals Gavin Meredith and Brett Chappell.

With more than 300 students having experienced golf at a school level, and many for the first time, school teachers Mr Boniface and Mr Bungar are going to have a tough time picking the 30 students to head to Antill Park GC in late November for a golf gala day.

See below for some of the action shots of the day, including Mr Boniface getting involved and picking up some free tips and pointers!
