Calculation of Master of Masters Scoring Average

Girls

All Girls scores are calculated to an average par of 72.
Scores returned on a course with a Daily Scratch Rating (DSR) of less than 72 will be increased by the number of strokes by which the rating is below 72.
Scores returned on a course with a Daily Scratch Rating (DSR) of more than 72 will be decreased by the number of strokes by which the rating is above 72.

(Example - Sheridan plays the Penrith Open and shoots a scratch score of 75. The Daily Scratch Rating is 74. As the DSR is above 72 by 2 shots, Sheridan's score is decreased by 2 shots. Sheridan's adjusted score is 73).

Boys

All Scores are calculated to an average par of 70.
Scores returned on a course with a Daily Scratch Rating (DSR) of less than 70 will be increased by the number of strokes by which the rating is below 70.
Scores returned on a course with a Daily Scratch Rating (DSR) of more than 70 will be decreased by the number of strokes by which the rating is above 70.

(Example - Rory plays the Penrith Open and shoots a scratch score of 75. The Daily Scratch Rating is 72. As the DSR is above 70 by 2 shots, Rory's score is decreased by 2 shots. Rory's adjusted score is 73).

In the event of a scorecard not returned by a player, the following will apply:

  • A player who starts a round and does not return their scorecard will be recorded as scoring 20 shots over par.
  • A player who is disqualified for an incorrect score card or rule infringement will be recorded as scoring 20 shots over par.
  • A player who cannot complete a round due to a valid reason (eg - illness or injury), will have no score recorded.
